Description: The La Jolla Art Association (LJAA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization promoting art that offers a tradition of excellence from local artists since 1918. - - - The mission of LJAA is to foster an appreciation of the arts in the Southern California area by providing public exhibition venues for members, associated organizations and local area artists. We work to educate the community by providing art education and programs and by partnering with schools and other charitable organizations. We build stronger awareness for the arts in San Diego. - - - LJAA is an all-volunteer art organization that relies on member dues, art sale commissions, voluntary contributions and donations to maintain the gallery and education space and provide a variety of free services to the community. - - - The LJAA Gallery is located in La Jolla Shores on the corner of Avenida de la Playa and 20 minuets north-west of downtown San Diego. - - - Artist members join LJAA to exhibit their work in the LJAA Gallery to be inspired by one another and develop fellowship among other local artists.
